My Story

I took my health and body for granted, it would always be there for me, or so I thought. It wasn’t until I found myself in bed for a week unable to move without collapsing in pain from a severe lower back injury, that I really awoke. Depression, anxiety and fear rushed in as my inability to move without fear of crippling pain was impacting every aspect of my life. I couldn’t take my body for granted anymore. I realized none of what I wanted to do, wished to be and who I could become would happen if I didn’t have a body that supported me.

My journey began. Studying and learning with the innovators in the fields of exercise science, anatomy, holistic lifestyle, coaching and flexibility fueled me. I have always had an eye for those that were on the cutting edge and it has served me well.

Over the next 20 years I would experience opportunities I could never have imagined. I had the privilege to work with professional and elite athletes demanding every last ounce of excellence from their bodies. I was fortunate to work with NFL players in and off season, be a part of NFL training camps, work with coaches and GM’s, travel with players to tournaments including Wimbledon and the French Open to name a few. I have also had the honor to work with those struggling to accomplish the simplest of movements without pain and struggle. I have educated and trained hundreds of fitness and health professionals in Ki-Hara Resistance Stretching method and have led numerous workshops and retreats in personal development utilizing The BAALL Process, I co-created.

All of those experiences have taught me so very much about the human body, the human spirit and what is possible.

What I have learned:

Flourishing is not limited to a few, moving out of pain is never just one isolated muscle, healing is not one pill, thriving and growth is not one element,  But each of these things all begin with a first step. The first step is appreciating that we have the intrinsic capacity to effect change within our bodies. I chose the name Intrinsic Health Systems 20 plus years ago because of my core belief that good health is Intrinsic in each of us. It is in our nature. Together we find the keys unique to you and your body to help you thrive.
